KEEPS THE ELEVATOR IN ACTION. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 8.10 a.m.) New York, September 21. At a fire at the Dow Company manufacturers, Stanaul, a youthful elevator attendant, repeatedly ran the elevator to the top floor, rescuing the panic-stricken employees. A fireman carried a number of women down the fire escapes. But for the uravery of the lad in keeping the elevator in action, heavy loss of life would have been certain.
