Only eight horses paraded at the Taranaki Agricultural Society's parade on Saturday at New Plymouth, and among these was Mr Joe Bond's "Formby," a beautifully proportioned bay thoroughbred of aristocratic lineage, winch came in for a goo'.l deal of admiration. He is a well-!.'wed horse, with magnificent .;iuirt.'is, and is to travel the Xew Ply nouth and surrounding districts. Mr Bond is offering the services of this horse en very reasonable terms, and his limit should readily fill. 'As a p.'.former en the turf, "Formby" has bc.\i very successful in superior company. His performance of the mile in imin -lOsecs 1-osecs when ho won the C.J.O. Handicap with 7.12 up, proclaims him a racehorse of considerable ruf.r.t.
A social under the auspices of the C.E.M.S. is to be held in the Parish Hall to-morrow evening. Xo charge will be made for admission, and a hearty invitation to be present is extended to all men.
