Albany, September 20
The warships were accorded an enthusiastic welcome. Admiral Patey, in a message' to the people of Australia, says: “The Royal Australian Navy has come to stay. The scheme is sound and well thought out. The ship is good value for the money expended. I have fine ships’ companies. lam much gratified at the messages of welcome from all parts of Australia and New Zealand, and look forward to the work" with the greatest enthusiasm.”
