CIVIL SERVICE SUPERANNUATION.
In the Assembly Mr Carmicbael, in moving the second reading of the Civil Service Superannuation Bill, explained that it was based on rate for age. The State would contribute half and tbe employee half. The scheme would be self-supporting from the start. The principle underlying the Bill would apply to superannuation for the whole of the people of the State, should that ever be brought about. The Government's contribution under the Bill was about £130,000 annually.
