IN CASES OF CANCER. [t.: Electric Telegkaph-Copyright] * [United Press Association.] (Received 8.15 a.m.) Lon Jon, September IS. A Sttrgeon at the Middlesex Hospital announce:; remarkable results during the last six months in treating advanced cases of cancer by radium. It was inadvisable to use the word "cured," but the growths disappeared in a truly astounding manner. The hospital, was handicapped by the lack of radium. Sometimes a single patient would use the whole of the 144 milligrammes which the hospital possesses for twenty-four hours. No other treatment was possible. Hundreds of patients were awaiting their turn. There was need for a greater amount, because small doses of radium were useless.
