The Club is, naturally, prom! of their property, and new life is bei 11 -r infused into tho game. Arrangcinents are in progress in regard to the improvement id the green and the surroundings, and from reports of the business conducted at recent meetings of tiio Committee it will bo seen that the prospects lor a successful season aro very bngut. It has been decided to repair and paint the pavilion.* A resolution was passed at tho last Committee meeting suggesting tluu the Taranaki district for the Tanner competitions should bo split up into four sub-districts' as follows: —(i) Waverly, Pa tea and ilawora, (2; Manaia, Pihama, and Tlpnnake; tm winners of i and 2 to play olf. (3) Eltham, Stratford and Inglewood. 11 ) New Plymouth, Fitzroy, West Kali, and Waitara ; tho winners of 3 and I to play olf. Tho finals to bo played between tho winners of 1 and 2 and tiio winners of 3 and -1. Semi-finals and finals to bo played in neutral greens. The President (Mr T. C. Fookos) lias Imeii appointed delegate to attend the meeting in New Plymouth of the Tara u:iki Centi'e in connection with the Dominion Howling Association.

Mr A. McLean lias boon appointed caretaker.

The following row members bare boon elected since the last general meeting of the Club: —Messrs. It. Corlott, E. AV. Hancock, AV. J. Newton, ißicker ton, W. H. H. Young, A. AY. i»eicl, F. AV. AVebster and 11. Cottier.

Messrs McDonald and C. Smart comprise the Refreshment Committee, and Messrs McMillan and T. H. Penn the Match Committee.

A letter of condolence, on behalf of Iho Club, has been sent to Mrs W. H Ryan in her recent bereavement. The Into Mr Ryan was an ardent bowler, and Ids presence on the green will bn ranch missed. As ex-secretary of the Club, his memory will over bo “green” among fellow bowlers.
