The Waikato district has been disinfected from end to end with the exception of a few isolated cases in outlying districts, and is free from the epidemic. THE POSITION IN SYDNEY. Mr Holman stated in the Assembly that the Board of Health considered the epidemic in Sydney could no longer be regarded as true typical smallpox, and it was unlikely to develop in strength. This opinion he wrote to Mr Cook and the Board ot Health, urging the proclamation of Sydney to bo withdrawn.
