FORMIDABLE PREPARATIONS

Cornelius Yandorbilt, Frederick Bourne, J. P. Morgan, Henry Walters, Arthur Curtis, and other, millionaires have formed* a syndicate to build an America Cup defender. Robert Emmons, of Boston, has been appointed managing director of the new yacht. It is understood that a second boat will also be built and a series of trials will precede the Club's final choice.
