DANJSFF UNDER GUARD

It is reported that M. Daneff ha: been either arrested in his own houst for treachery to the State, or is be ing guarded to protect him from tin anger of disbanded soldiers believing that he was responsible for Bulgaria': present troubles.
BULGARIA AXD TURKEY. (Received 9.10 a.m.) Constantinople, September 14. It is officially announced that Saturday's meeting gives ground for expecting that a settlement will be arrived at satisfactory to both Bulgaria and Turkey.

The newspapers are equally optimistic. Servia and Bulgaria art stated to have initiated a tariff war by applying for maximum tariffs.
