BRADLEY'S DEFENCE

Ernest Alfred Bradley, charged with ' murdering Mary Jane Greentree, with whom he had been living for four years near Cobar, pleaded that the woman shot herself because a constable's remarks about her children preyed on her mind. ; He was found guilty and sentenced to death.

James O'Brien was found guilty and sentenced to death for the murde: of a man named Hansen. He was recommended to mercy on account o hia age.
a, O'Brien told the police that Han*SM stole some belongings of his, an that he went to get them back, and in the struggle Hansen seized the muzzle of the gun, which went off and killed him.
