OBITUARY.

MR W, H. RYAN

A well-known figure in Stratford was removed by the death at his residence in Juliet Street south of Mr W. H. Ryanat the age of 62. Mr Ryan had spent a good deal of his life ir Taranaki, having resided for fifteei years in Inglewood before coming t'r Stratford about ten years ago. H« spent tho best'part of his life in the police force, and occupied the pos of sergeant in Stratford when he re tired from the force about six year? ago.

Mr Ryan is survived by his wife two daughters (Mrs J. Thacker anc Mrs G. Bianchi), and one son (Mr W. Ryan, Wanganui) for whom sympathy will be general.

The funeral will leave the Catholi< church at 2 o'clock to-morrow afternoon for the Kopuatama cemetery.
