MOTOR COLLISIONS,

At the Supreme Court to-day, J!. Connon proceeded against ' Manawai Tauri, claiming £5Ol damages. The case arose out of a. collision which took place on June 16, when Cannon Mas cycling to Castlecliff to see the warship New Zealand and Tauri was motoring to town from the heads. The jury returned a verdict for plaintiff for £l4O, and judgment was entered accordingly, with costs. A case was commenced this afternoon in which Mrs Broad, widow of the late W. Broad, who was killed at the Marton railway crossing through a train colliding with him while he was riding a motor cycle. She claims £2OOO. The jury and judge propose inspecting the crossing to-morrow.
