Mr C. L. Forrest, an ex-memhei of Parliament, died a year ago, leaving an estate valued at £103,137,’ o which over £BO,OOO was bequeathe? to create a trust for charitable and philanthropic purposes. Charles L Rorrest, a nephew, as the only nexi to kin, sought the Court’s ruling a; to whether the trust was void on the ground of uncertainty. The Chie Justice, in delivering the Court’? judgment, declared that Forrest died intestate, and the whole trust is voir for uncertainty. The whole of the money, therefore, goes tn the nephew upon ids clearly establishing that he is the sole next-of-kin.
