<< SUICIDE AT SEA . [P«b Passa Association .1 Auckland, August 29. Robert Anderson, 49, first saloon ■toward on the Makuri, committed suicide on he voyage from Sydney. He nearly cut his head off with a razor. Evidently he held his head over the lavatory baain while hfc committed ike deed.
FATALITY AT LEVIN. / ; rf ) '" Levin, August 29. While the hose and reel were being taken to a fire yesterday, an.accident occurred to Skerman, an Otaki runholder, who was standing m Queen Street, Levin. By some means his fall was occasioned and Skerman sustained injury to the hack of his head. He was removed to a private hospital where he died last night afer an .popletio fit. An inquest is being heid Wore a Coroner-and jury.to-day.
