HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright! [United Press Association.] The following is the High Commissioner's cable, dated August 23rd : Butter.—The market is quiet, with fair demand for best. Lower grades receive little attention. The supply exceeds the demand. It is stated that stocks in cold stores are very heavy. Prices are practically unchanged. Cheese.—The market is firm, with no change in prices for New Zealand and Canadian. Finest English Cheddar 72s to 765, lower grades 61s to 70s. Wool.—Current Bradford quotations for tops are: 36's low crossbreds 15Jd, 44's medium crosshreds 16Jd, 50's half-breds 19!ld, 56's quarter-breds. 22}A, 60's Merinos 28}d. The market remain's firm. Good business has been done in yarns of all qualities.
