Training operations at Ricc'arton this morning wore soiuewhat marred by-two regrettable accidents, While schooling over steeplechase country, the aged gelding Fair Deal fell heavily arid broke his neck,'his rider, S; Murfitt. sustaining a broken collar-bone. The other accident happened toR. Murfitt. apprentice in R. Longley's stable. He wan riding a gelding by Boniform—Culver'm, when his mount, bolted-off tire course and came down, giving Murfitt a bad shaking.
