August '2-2. .The Immigration Department has decided that if Thaw is released as a result of habeas corpus proceedings they will reject him as an undesirable, and return him across the border. , Mr Sulzer, acting as Governor of New York, telegraphed to Ottawa asking for the return of Thaw. Governor Glynn made the same request. PROBABLE DEPORTATION. Times—Sydney Sua Special Cables Quebec, August 22. Thaw will probably bo liberated o; ■habeas corpus and instantly re-ar-rested by the immigration officers and deported from Vermont and handed to the American authorities.
