Tho Government Meteorologist (Kev D. C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows : The indications arc for :—Freshening northerly strong winds to gale prevailing, and veering by west to smith. The weather appears likely to he cloudy and unsettled. Bain probable. Barometer falling altei about 21 to 36 hours.
