MOTHER AND CHILDREN
THE DOMINIONS’ FLEETS. AUSTRALIAN ADMIRAL’S VIEWS. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 8.0 a.m.) Capetown, August 20. There is an elaborate programme of entertainments both at Capetown and Durban, largely on the lines of the recent visit of the battle cruiser New Zealand. Admiral Patcy, in an interview, said ho would treat the ships ot the Australian squadron the same as he would treat a similar squadron under his command in England. Hie individual independence of the overseas Dominions need never clash with the unity of the Empire as a whole. It needed an instinct contrary to nature to conceive that an outsider could hope to interfere successfully between mother and children.
