SUPREME COURT.
Palmerston, August 21 At the Supreme Court the Chief Justice sentenced Charles Kron for theft of a gold watch and £l3 from the person at Pahiatua to twelve months’ imprisonment and declared him an habitual criminal. Walter McDermott was sentenced to twelve months at the Waipu prison camp. , Auckland, August 21. In tho Supreme Court, Maurice Murray was found guilty on two charges of indecent assault on children. He was Recommended to mercy by tin jury-, 'and .sentenced to, three years’ reformative, treatment. . Wm. Willis, found guilty of, assault with intent to commit robbwry, was sentenced to three years’ hard labor.
