* * ‘i WELLINGTON SESSIONS. [Per Press Association.] Wellington, August 16.
At the Supreme Court to-day, before his Honor the Chief Justice, Sir Robert Stout, Herbert Thomas Porteous was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment on three charges of forgery and uttering, terms to be concurrent; John Goulber, six months for theft from a dwelling; Norman Chas. and William Placet!, to probation for twelve months for theft from hotel hoarders.
DIVORCE PROCEEDINGS. In the Divorce Court to-day, decrees nisi were granted, in the following cases: Any Charlotte Harris and Charles William Harris, Constance Edith Allwright v. Robert Sydney Allwright, Margaret Bowden v. Geo. Carlisle Bowden, and Georgina Murphy v. Michael James Murphy.
