ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
INJURED JOCKEYS. [Per Press Association.! Christchurch, August 15. F. Ellis, rider of lied Earl, which fell and broke its neck in the Grand National Hurdle Race at Eiccarton yesterday, was operated on at the hospital this morning. His injuries included a broken thigh, which was attended to, and the patient is progressing satisfactorily. The jockey Feilding, who was admitted to the hospital yesterday, suffering from concussion of the brain caused by a fall at Riecarton, was reported to be doing well this afternoon.
