The Government Meteorologist (Kev D. C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows : The indications are for:—Variable and strong breezes, but easterly strong to gale prevailing. Weather continue? threatening. Expect dull weather with much mist and fog in parts. Heavy rain is to be expected with rivers flooded. Barometer unsteady.
