Questioned in the House of Commons, Mr Acland stated that the Government’s attitude towards the San Francisco exhibition was unchanged. Mr John O’Connor, Nationalist, asked whether that was proper in return for the United States’ reduction of the tariff. Mr Acland replied that the tariff was not vet reduced.
