HIS MAJESTY'S PICTURES. To-night will be the last of a tiptop picture programme. To-morrow, Thursday, evening a great set of picture gems will be screened, when the latest Pathe Gazette and also Topical Budget, which are known for everything current that occurs throughout the world, will be featured. Tho star drama, "Shadows of the Night," is a great detective story 3000 feet in length, and is stated to surpass the late Tigris series. The scenario runs: Detective Summers has been trying to run to earth the'notorious gang of criminals "Shadows of the Night." He is assisted by Barker, a journalist. Barker ha© met Count Dorien and his daughter, in whom he confides his plans, not knowing that tho "Count" is the leader of the gang. Some days later Barker's life is attempted at his hotel. The plot fails and Barker encounters one of the criminals, who turns out to be the Countess dressed in male attire. She confesses that she is in the Count's power. The hotel being surrounded by criminals he and the Countess escape by means of a telegraph cable to the roof of another building. Exciting scenes of pursuit follow each other in quick succession. Detective Summers arrests the leader, and a successful raid finishes their existence.
