Dibbs obtaiend the money from the Treasury'.} advanced account, but the House refused to ratify the payment on the ground that it was irregularly made. Slattery paid his' private cheque of £IOOO to the Treasury to, settle matter, and subsequently £553 was repaid him by private subscription. He asks that a Select Committee inquire into the matter. : *"
