TAXI-CAB FATALITY.

DRIVER COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. [Per Press Association, j Christchurch, August 6. The circumstances connected with the Csfehel street fatality, in which a young girl named Ida Una Heath Bradley lost her life through being run down by a taxi-cab on July 24, were related to the Magistrate's Court,when Philip James Kelly was charged with manslaughter. At the inquest on the girl the district coroner recorded a verdict "That deceased had been run over by a taxi-cab 1 driven by Phillip Jam|s Kelly in a negligent manner," and the present charge was then preferred against him. Evidence was given similar to that at the inquest, and accused was committed for trial.
