FLAXMILL WORKERS' ACCOMMODATION.
[Per Press Association.] Wellington, August- o. , A deputation waited on the Premier to-day regarding the recentlygazetted regulations dealing .with .accommodation for workers at flax mills. Mr Veitch (M.P.. for.Wanganui), who introduced the .deputation, said the workers were not satisfied with the present condition of affairs. / .• The Premier said the regulations might not be perfect, but they were a tremendous advance on anything that was in existence before. The 'regulations were to be administered, .and if the people concerned did not comply with them they would have |to put up with the consequences- He jalso intended to arrange for a special inspector, who would haVe nothing else to do but, look after the flaxmill district in Manawatu, and he (Mr Massey) would get a special report once a month as to how things were going.
