TWENTY-THREE MEN EXTOMBED.

The Cadder Colliery, at Marvis Vall«y, Glasgow, is on fire. Twentythree men are entombed. The Cadder fire was discovered when the afternoon shift was finishing. Three men escaped. Two rescue parties were driven back by the smoke. At a third attempt five bodies werie recovered. Hope for the remaining fifteen has been abandoned.
