THE WHITE'S FOOTSTOOL.
THE COLOR QUESTION
London, August 4
Gopal Kokhale, addressing the London Indian Association, formed for the benefit of Indian students, said that the position of the latter in England had steadily, grown more difficult. They wore now treated with hare tolerance, and in a few cases with positive dislike. The main cause was the growing of racial color prejudice, due partly to the new school of Imperialism, which held that the world was for the whites and looked to other races a& a footstool. This was partly due to the greater share the self-governing Dominions were acquiring in shaping the Imperial policy.
