THE STATE’S ASSISTANCE. (Received'9.3o a.m.) ! ‘ ’ London, August 2. The ‘’Nation” states: “The report of the committee of enquiry on the laud system is practically complete. Mr Lloyd Ceorge opens his campaign in September. The basis of the Liberal policy will be a minimum wage, the crux of which will bo in giving the farmer the means for recouping himself by the adjustment of his rent as security of tenure. This would he impossible without the State’s assistance.
