The New Zealand Cricket Council decided last night to hold' a meeting on September 9th to consider an alteration in the Hawke Cup. With regard to the Australians’ tour tho secretary reported that, a guarantee of £3OO had been offered by the Australian bodies and he expected £l5O from a match in New Zealand. The Council decided to guarantee a further £2OO towards the expenses It was also decided to arrange a match for Adelaide, cutting out Bendigo and Ballarat from the tour.

Auld and Mitchell were unable to obtain leave. Mr Moyle was elected manager.
