The committee appointed by the Wes,leyan Conference on investigating the charges against Ihe Rev. George Jack- [ son. adopted a leport by 86 votes to i 27 that Mr Jackson was in perfect general nccord with Wesleyan and evidently desired tc re-state in the light of modern knowledge the authority for Holy Scripture; nevertheless the committee regreted that Mr Jackson's insiiificiently-guarded and j unhappily-expressed statements were liable to misunderstanding.
