Two houses in Ravenswqrth jPhacc were totally', destroyed' 'by fire last night. The fire originated through trie upsetting of a kerosene lamp m a bedroom of a five-roomed house occupied by V. Walsh,' and owned by Geo. Barber. The flames quickly spread, and the whole contents were decoyed. The flames spread to an adjoining seven-roomed house occupied by Alex Ross and owned by A. K. Speirs. - A quantity of effects were saved. An easterly wind saved an adjoining house and the Masonic Hall. The business premises of 'Bauchain and Charles, grocers, . were broken into either on Saturday of last night and; a quantity of tobacco was stolen. A desk was broken open and the drawers rifled, but Saturday's takings were removed by the owners on Saturday night.
