ANNEAL REPORT,

The annual meeting'of the Midhirst 00-operative Dairy Factory Company will lie hold in the Midhirst Public Hall, on July 28th,

• The following figures show'the company’s operations for the past season,* the figures for the previous season being given in parentheses : —Milk, 33,438,2211 b (31,2G6,3101b); average test, 4 (4); fat 1/340,4961b5, including 1215 H) home separated cream (1,248,924); butter 1,570,4861 b (1,447,9661 b); pounds milk to pounds butter, 21.29 (20.20); overrun, 17.05 (15.93). The annual report states: —“The balance-sheet shows a surplus of £5150 2s 9d, which will suffice to make a further payment of Id per lb. on but-ter-fat for the months of September to April, inclusive. The Suppliers will then have been paid at the following rates:—June, July, and August 12,'d, September and October 13d, November to April inclusive 12id, May 11.)d. Average payment for butterfat for the season was 12,56 d and the cost of manufacture was, .98d. The following directors retire by rotation, and are eligible for re-election : Messrs Wm. Skcdgweli, August Uhlenberg, and W. J. Wellington. Mr Alexander Brown has resigned from the Board of Directors. Nominations for vacancies on the Board must he in the hands of the secretary not later than 12 o’clock, noon, on 19th July, 1913. You will be required to appoint an auditor in place of Mr T. H. Penn, who again offers his services.” At the meeting the following resolution will ho submitted: —“That the capital of the Company be further increased to the amount of thirteen thousand pounds by the creation of additional capital to the amount of three thousand pounds divided into, throe thousand shares of one pound

each, such sharps to bo issued as ordinary shares, ranking as to dividend and as to distribution of capital in a winding-up ‘paid passu’ with the ordinary shares in the existing capital of the Company.”
