RECALCITRANT CADETS

The Kalgoorlie authorities have had great trouble with recalcitrant cadets who protest against compulsory service. On several occasions they damaged military property, and finally blew up the sheds at the rifle range. Three were sentenced to imprisonment.
MOTION FOR ITS ABOLITION

In the Federal Senate, Senator Rae has given notice of a motion in favor of the abolition of compulsory military service. f.;>
