NEW ZEALAND SALES

At the stud sheep sales a number of Lincolns mere sold on account ol Mr Dmvfchwaits (Waimate). A line of 20 hoggets brought from 2gns. to 2],gns., and 14 ram lambs 3gns. to
3Jgns. A line of Leicester ram hoggets sold on account of Mr William Nixon (Killinchy) for 2.]gns. In Border Leicesters, on account of Mr Dowthwaite, 29 ram lambs,brought Sgns. to Signs.; 30 ram hoggets Signs., and 20 ewe lambs 2.]gns. For Mr John Nixon (fvillinchy) 1: ram hoggets brought 3gns. to Signs. Ten ram lamb Romney Marshes were sold, on account of Air Dowthwaite, at 2jgns.

At the s,hoep sa [ es on account of Mr Ensor, White Rock, Rangiora, two Corriedale rams were sold for fifty guineas each, and three others for thirty-two and a-half, twenty-five and twenty.
On acount of Air J. Dowthwaite, a Romney Marsh ram for sixty-six Others ranged from fifteen to twenty guineas. A ewe brought forty-two and a-half guineas, and others nine to twenty guineas. Air Dowthwaite’s Border Leicesters brought five to twenty gldneas, and Air Donald Grant’s Border Leicesters six to twenty-seven and a-half guineas. Large offerings of stud, flock sheep, and lambs of English breeds on be-, half of New Zealand owners ranged form two and a-quarter guineas to seven guineas.
