THE ELECTION OF SPEAKER

Both Federal parties held a preliminary meeting prior to the opening of Parliament to-day, when arrangements were made to push Supply through. Mr Fisher has undertaken that his party will assist the Government who have nominated Mr W. E. Johnson for the Speakership.
