Hack Handicap.—Shona 1, May Shouitie 2, Chortle 3. Scratchings: Patei, Kentora, Fioirette, Mucadine. Won by a length, half a length between second and third. Time, -J9 2-osec. Flying.—Mummer 1, Theodore 2, Merton 3. Scratched; Multiply, Diavolo, Achray, Faith, Kidder. Won by a length, half a length between second and third. Time, Imin 5 t-usec. Steeplechase.—Red McGregor 1, Don/.el 2, HautorcJ. Scratched: Dudgeon, Webfoot, Napper Tandy. Game dropped out, Sunray fell, and Reservoir baulked. Won by two lengths, seven lengths between second and third. Time, 6min Jlsec. In the Steeplechase, Sunray, falling, broke his neck, and the jockey (Mul-e-hay) received a severe shaking, sustaining an injured arm, Hautero fell at the sod wall, but his rider (Brady) was unhurt. The double in front of the stand, produced a mix-up. Reser- i voir and Donzel were leading, when the former refused to take the second brush, and dislodged his rider. Game vaulted his jockey over the rail, and Rebel also displaced his rider. Red MacGregor also baulked, leaving Donzel to establish a lead of nearly half a mile. Reservoir subsequently refused to jump and was

withdrawn. Hack Flat.-—Mummer 1, Gazette 2, Kielden 3. Scratched: Golden Grain, liising Sim, Connie. Won by three lengths. Time, Imin 30 l-ssec.
