[Per Press (Association.] 'Wellington, July 1. At the afternoon sitting of the Unity Congress some discussion took place on the question of Mr J. A. Hanan, M.P., sitting as a delegate from the Invercargill Bootmakers’ Union, on the ground that ho was not a member of any labor body. Finally the acceptance of his credentials was carried by 206 votes to 126. The Congress also decided to allow the secretary of the Wellington Tinsmiths’ Union to represent the Auckland tinsmiths, the latter’s delegate being ill.
