GERMAN DEFENCE BILL.
INCREASE OF SIX REGIMENTS. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 8.45 a.m.) Berlin, July 1. Before the Reichstag met, the various parties agreed to the insertion in the military code of a paragraph empowering the court in less serious cases of mutiny and riot to impose a sentence as low as half a year or a year, the Socialists accepting it conditionally on the Erfurt; offenders being benefftted. The Army Bill has now been passed. The Centre vote on the taxation of Federal princes occurred by mistake, but it secured the rescission of the third reading. The Government obtains an Army increase, including six cavalry regiments.
