THEFTS OF JEWELLERY. [Per Press Association.] Wellington, July 2. James Henry Sergeant, charged with the theft of a watch belonging to Charles Jenkins, the jockey, and also other thefts of jewellery, was committed for trial. Janies Whitaker, charged with receiving some of the stolen goods, was also committed for trial. MORE IMMIGRANTS. Wellington, July 2. By the Arnwa, due next Tuesday, 373 immigrants are expected, including 134 assisted by the Government, of whom there are 35 domestics and 29 farmers.
