SAWMILL FATALITY

A fatality occurred at the Egmont Box Company's mill at Ohutu. John Dunning, 39, single, was engaged loading logs, and while coupling a truck to an engine missed the connecting spreader. Th engine backed and caught Dunning's head between the end of the log and the engine hook. Death was almost instantaneous.
