Donkin, pastoralist, as the result of a visit to the East, was mucli impressed with the trade possibilities of Japan for Australian wool, meat, and butter. He says that Japan will shortly be able to take every ounce of meat that we can send her; already she buys wool valued at three quarters of a milloin; and prefers Australian butter to any other. The demand for both of these products, he says, is bound to expand enormously.
