WEATHER FORECAST.
The Government Meteorologist (Rev I). C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows :
The indications are for southerly strong winds to gale. The weather will probably prove cold and showery. The night will probably be very cold with frosts inland. Barometer unsteady, but has a rising tendency.
