CLIFTON (0). i The above teams met at Waiters yesterday, and provided a good ex--1 position of the game, the Clifton forwards being in especially good form. ; The passing of the Tukapa sacks was 1 an outstanding feature of the game. Clifton had all the better of the first spell, but were unable to score, the “ spell closing without any score being registered. Soon after the second spell opened Stobr scored for Tukapa, failing to convert. Lovesidge next got over the line, but Stohr again failed to convert. Further tries were scored by McAllum and Whittaker,’ Stohr failing to convert in each case. Mr F. Spurdle controlled the game. JUNIORS. As no ground was available at Waitara the game between Clifton and Tukapa was postponed, till July 10th. Stratford defeated Star by 5 to nil. SECOND JUNIORS. Star defeated Technical College by 13 to nil. Stratford schoolboys and tho Stratford Thirds met at Stratford yesterday, thb school winning after an interesting game by 8 to 5. Mr J. H. Thompson controlled the game.
