WEATHER FORECAST.
The Government Meteorologist (Rev D. C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows :
The indications are for variable and strong breezes, but east to southeasterly winds strong to gale prevailing. Weather conditions are threatening. Much rain is to be expected. The barometer has a falling tendency, but rising after about 16 hours.
Mr Clement Wragge wired to the Press Association last night: “A disturbance is approaching New Zealand. I am warning those concerned in the refloating of the Indraharah to hasten their preparations.”
