THE KING’S BIRTHDAY.

DOMINION CONGRATULATIONS. Wellington, Juno 4. At the request of the Prime Minister, the Governor on Tuesday sent the following cablo to His Majesty the King: “My Government and the people of New Zealand tender to your Majesty their respectful and humble congratulations on the occasion of your Majesty’s birthday, and the assurance of their continued and unswerving loyalty to the throne .and person. (Signed) Liverpool.” His Excellency has received the following gracious reply from His Majesty : “I have received with much pleasuia the kind message contained in your telegram. Will you convey my sincere thanks to the people of New Zealand for their congratulations? (Signed) George R. and I.”
