WEATHER FORECAST.
The Government Meteorologist (Rev 1). C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows : The indications are for westerly strong winds to gale, anil veeiing bj west to south after about 24 hours. The weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled. Heavy rain is to bo expected with rivers rising shortly and the weather will probably become colder. Barometer falling, but rise fast after 24 houis.
