NOTES AND MEMORANDA.

In the ball-room or the social hall appearances counts a good deal. At Wilkinson’s Hall, Eltham, skat ing now takes every Friday evening. A full Band is in attendance.

Mr Newton King’s next Stratford horse fair will be held on Saturday, Juno 7th.

Mr Newton King’s next stock sale at Toko will bo held on Monday, 9th, and his Stratford sale will be held on the following day, Tuesday. Entries for both sales appear in another column.

Clients will please note that the reserve on the pedigree Jersey cattle to be sold on account of Mr W. H. Fenwick, Tariki, by the N.Z. L. and M. A. Co., has now been withdrawn, and the cattle will bo sold absolutely without reserve.
